ShreeAnnam

Heritage South Indian Kitchen

"So, what makes a perfect dosa? Is it the golden crispness kissed by butter, the fragrant masala within, or the loving hands that have made it the same way for three generations?"

"We believe food is memory. Every dosa we serve carries the soul of a grandmother's kitchen — the stone-ground batter, the slow ferment, the first pour on a seasoned iron tawa at dawn."

Where Every Dosa Tells A Story

ShreeAnnam was born from a simple, powerful memory — the sound of stone grinding rice and lentils at 5 in the morning, the sharp hiss of batter hitting a hot tawa, and the warmth of a grandmother's kitchen that smelled always of ghee and possibility.

"The idea is to preserve simple heritage food that we grew up loving — food that knows no shortcuts."

We follow the same recipes passed down through generations: 24-hour fermented batter, hand-pounded spice mixes, and the quiet ritual of cooking with intention. No preservatives. No compromises. Just food that remembers where it came from.

The ShreeAnnam Way

"I repeat the same process, making incremental improvements each time. There is always a drive to achieve more — to reach the peak."

01

Stone-Ground Batter

Traditional wet grinding for texture no machine can replicate. The stone imparts a cold-temperature grind that keeps the batter alive.

02

24-Hour Ferment

Slow fermentation at natural temperature creates the complex tang and lightness that makes every bite feel like home.

03

Seasoned Iron Tawa

Cast iron tawa, seasoned over years, held at the precise temperature that delivers that signature golden crunch.

Food Served On Leaves, Not Plates

A banana leaf does more than hold food — it flavours it. The natural oils in the leaf, combined with the heat of freshly cooked food, release a subtle earthiness that no ceramic or steel can impart. It is not just serving ware; it is an ingredient.

"The restaurant synonymous with heritage South Indian food, wherever it travels."

We serve our food the way it was always meant to be served — with the leaf as the foundation, community as the table, and memory as the menu.
